Homemade Cream of Chicken Soup


  • 2½ cups chicken broth (I used 2 cans)
  • 1½ cups milk
  • ¾ cup flour
  • salt
  • ground pepper
  • onion powder
  • garlic powder



  • In a saucepan, bring the chicken broth and ½ cup of the milk to a boil.
  • Meanwhile, slowly whisk the flour and spices into the remaining 1 cup milk until thoroughly combined.
  • Turn the heat down to low, and pour the flour and milk mixture into the saucepan, whisking continuously.
  • Let the mixture simmer for 10 more minutes, whisking occasionally.
